Wildlife In Season

Song birds are starting to really enjoy wildflowers which are going to seed. The brown pelicans are out in formation now. They were once almost extinct but are a common sight along Atlantic beaches and bays. Snowy egrets, ibis, and ospreys are also a common site along the water’s edge. Many birds are minding fledglings who have left their nests right now . Wildfowers are starting to paint the countryside with color about this time. The wild catus are bursting with beautiful yellow blooms this month. Bull frogs can be heard in full force most evenings near ponds and streams. And, though storms this early are rare, hurricane season begins on the first of the month.
