by Dana Kester-McCabe

Kyler Taustin the creative director of The Brown Box Theatre Company, a traveling troupe of players based in Boston who visit us here on Delmarva every year.

This is an update to an interview we did with Kyler Taustin in 2013.

If you have not seen one of their free productions - you really must see these dedicated artist who are keeping the words of the great bard alive. In our previous conversation this Delmarva local speaks of his creative begininnings and why he contiues to bring his passion for theater home to all of us.

Kyler continued his theater education at Emerson College and the British American Academy at Oxford among other places. He worked for a number of companies around New York and Boston before forming his own company the Brown Box Theatre.

For several years now the Brown Box Theater has been giving free performances, of the works of Shakespeare for Delmarva audiences in wonderful outdoor venues. This year they will do the Taming of the Shrew in a dozen towns in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Recently I caught up with Kyler on the phone to find out more.
