Lois Engberg

by Dana Kester-McCabe

Salisbury native, Lois Engberg has found a way to bring together several things she loves: painting, antiques, and gardening. She creates classic oil paintings with elements of each of these things.

Lois has been greatly influenced by masters such as Henri Fantin-Latour. Dramatic light and shadow capture the delicate beauty of her flowers and other charming treasures. Lois also has her mother, well known artist Barbara Beauchamp, to thank for her love of painting.

These fascinating paintings evoke a sense of both mystery and realism. Lois's work can be seen at McBride Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland and Bishop's Stock in Snow Hill Maryland.
