Kim, an associate professor of art at Salisbury University, shows his work internationally, including Korea, Japan, France, Spain and the U.S. He has had 27 solo exhibitions in New York, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Seoul and over 300 invitational shows and group exhibitions. In 2008, he earned the University System of Maryland's highest faculty honor: the Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The Green Earth Book Award (GEBA) was created by the Newton Marasco Foundation in collaboration with Salisbury University to get more books with a message of environmental stewardship into the hands of children and young adults and to connect authors with youth.

In 1987, the Ward World Championship Carving Competition introduced an interpretive category to the lineup of divisions, allowing for carvings that emphasize form, content, and movement over realism. One of the most common and widespread domestic animals, chickens have been providing meat and eggs for humans for at least 5,000 years. In fact, there are more chickens in the world than any other species of bird. The exhibit examines the history of this staple of farm life and traditional foodways through art, archival photographs and ephemera, and oral histories and folklore.

As part of the 2012 Juneteenth Celebration, the Academy Art Museum and the Frederick Douglass Honor Society are hosting a special screening of "Double Victory," a new documentary about the historic role of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II, produced by George Lucas and narrated by Cuba Gooding, Jr. A panel discussion will follow, featuring original Tuskegee Airmen, and moderated by Vic Carter, the WJZ Eyewitness News Co-Anchor from Baltimore. Juneteenth, one of the most important African American holidays in the country, marks the abolition of slavery. The 2012 Juneteen Celebration will commemorate Emancipation Day, celebrate the significant contributions of African Americans in our country, and reflect on the common values that we share as a community.

With no proven or duplicated results, however, cold fusion remains a science fiction. Expanding on this theme, organizers are calling for artwork that somehow creates a fusion of ideas, materials, forms or processes that results in something greater than its parts.
