Exhibit: Art and Photography from Green Earth Book Award Recipients
Ward Museum, 909 S. Schumaker Drive, Salisbury, Maryland (Runs through: 06/10/2012)
Exhibit features an amazing variety of art and photography from scratchboard to watercolors, cartoon art to stop-action photographs, to appeal to environmentalists of all ages. The Green Earth Book Award (GEBA) was created by the Newton Marasco Foundation in collaboration with Salisbury University to get more books with a message of environmental stewardship into the hands of children and young adults and to connect authors with youth.

Barista and Books

What is a Barista? Find out when Starbucks presents story time at the main branch of the Wicomico Public Library. All 3, 4, and 5 year olds and their caregivers are welcome to join us for stories, fingerplays, songs and a take home craft during our 1/2 hour program. Enjoy coffee, drinks and pastries compliments of our Salisbury Starbucks on the third Wednesday of each month.

Read-A-Long with Rosie

Family oriented story time for kids ages 5-11 and their parents/caregivers. Enjoy singing with guitar and cd accompaniment, interactive stories, make a theme-related craft and enjoy light refreshments.

Beth Ohlsson - Storyteller
Wicomico Library - Salisbury, Maryland (Runs through: 06/09/2012)
Local Storyteller Beth Ohlsson takes us to that "Once Upon a Time" place with her words. This 45 minute program is for those who seek to discover traditional folktales and fairy tales. Ages 6 and older.

Gary Lloyd - Storyteller

Gary Lloyd tells tales that buzz in your ears while answering the question, "Two bees or not Two bees?" His enthusiasm shows his love of his craft and his respect for his audiences. Gary has now told stories to over 850,000 listeners of all ages in 8 states. Gary won a national level award for his telling, but truly savors the comments he gets all the time from children and adults who rediscover just how fun and powerful storytelling can be. Wear yellow and black for a special present!

Help us Kick Off our Summer Reading Program, "Dream Big-Read", with lots of singing and dancing with our new friends Jim and Suzanne Hale. Of course, our own Sneaks the Cat our summer reading mascot will be here too. Bring your friends, your loudest voice, your dancing shoes and a camera for this fun filled morning. Let's wake up the city of Salisbury with this great morning program. For all ages.
