This event would not be possible without the support of our athletes and our sponsors. Interested in helping us raise funds? Ask friends, family and working co-horts to donate. Raise $100 and we'll give you a hoodie, raise $200 or more, and we'll give you a hoodie and a transition bag!
For our 10th anniversary in 2009, we made a significant commitment to responsible race production in the effort to make it a successful green event. We eliminated the 600 goody bags in favor of providing our racers with one eco-friendly item; we relied on the internet to promote our race and did not mail out over 3,000 brochures to racers on our mailing list; we had more recycling bins on site the day of the race; we donated leftover food to a local charity; and we awarded medals made from recycled bike chains to our race winners.
